Type1Medical exists to keep pilots flying. We perform FAA airman medical exams with a focus on preparation, so that the paperwork and the medical history are handled before they can turn into a deferral.

Jonathon White is an ER doctor with 14 years of experience and has been passionate about aviation since youth, growing up on navy bases around the world. He is passionate about helping airmen get and stay certified by providing screening and certifying medical exams for pilots. As a private-rated pilot and recipient of a First Class Special Issuance medical certificate, he is excited to help others prepare for, and pass, the FAA medical certification exams.
As an AME and pilot he understands the stress on aviators as well as the desire of the FAA to help everyone who wants to fly do so in a safe manner.
The FAA has significantly increased the pass rate for airmen seeking medical certification. With a little preparation and patience nearly everyone who wants to fly will be able to obtain a medical to do so. Let me use my experience to help you navigate the process and fulfil your dream to fly.
